Abstract
We are reporting a 29-year-old male who was presented with severe body tremulousness and intermittent oscillation of the eyes after a brief gastrointestinal and respiratory illness. We think that the patient has a opsoclonus-myoclonus syndrome which the pathologic localization has not been identified. An attempt to find parenchymal lesion with MRI has failed. The laboratory findings disclosed mild elevation of protein in CSF. An EEG showed no definite abnormality. The patient was fully recovered without neurologic sequelae in few weeks after administration¢¥of clonazepam.
We presume that the postinfectious encephalitis is responsible for the opsoclonus-myo clonus syndrome in this patient.
